About Us

Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club 0f ohio, inc.

(Cleveland, ohio - mother chapter)

Welcome

The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Ohio, Inc.  (Mother Chapter) is a family-oriented and community focused organization, located in Cleveland, Ohio.  Our colors represent a long history and we wear them with pride and respect.  Our colors pay homage to African Americans of the 9th and 10th Calvary, who sacrificed their lives so that our country could be what it is today. They are a badge of courage, sacrifice and honor as are those who continue to serve.  The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club (N.A.B.S.T.M.C)  is an organization of professional men and women, who are dedicated to the sport of motorcycle riding and safety.  We ride our motorcycles (Iron Horses) to represent the horses that were ridden by the Buffalo Soldiers during the 1800's.  Our objective is to educate those, who are unfamiliar with the racism, sacrifices and hardships that the Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th U.S. Cavalries had to endure.

The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club (N.A.B.S.T.M.C.) was established in October of 1993 in Chicago, Illinois by Kenneth "Dream Maker" Thomas.  Dream Maker founded the N.A.B.S.T.M.C. for the purpose of fostering unity and fellowship with motorcyclists in the Chicago area.  Since then, the N.A.B.S.T.M.C. has grown from one chapter to over 100 nationwide and overseas.  We are professional men and women dedicated to the sport of motorcycle riding and safety, while educating the public about the accomplishments of the 9th and 10th Calvary Buffalo Soldiers.  In addition, we "do good in the hood" through community service such as: feeding the homeless; awarding scholarships for graduating high school seniors; and riding our motorcycles in support of other charitable organizations.  WE CLAIM NO TERRITORY AND WEAR OUR COLORS WITH PRIDE.

During August, 2007, the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club (NABSTMC) approved the establishment of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, Ohio Mother Chapter in Kansas City, Kansas.  Starting a chapter in Ohio was contemplated several years before this date. Ultimately, the decision to form a chapter (in Cleveland, Ohio) was implemented, when Sam (Brother Gold) Mitcham, Conrad (Bald-d) Sneed, Charles (Big Dogg 11) Brooks and William (Brother) Jackson became inspired during a Buffalo Soldiers Memorial Service in Washington, D.C.  Since then, this Club has grown in membership, while honoring the legacy, bravery and loyalty of the Buffalo Soldiers.  We practice, "One Club, One Patch, One Mindset".

We are the proud recipients of the 2014 Outstanding Large Chapter - Great Lakes Frontier Award; 2013 and 2012 Intermediate Great Lakes Chapter of the Year Award.

Currently, we have 22 Full Members, 2 Retirees, 11 Associate Members.
