     The purpose of the
Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Ohio, Inc. (BSMCO), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, is to promote safe motorcycling and to educate society regarding the Buffalo Soldiers rich heritage (specifically the 9th and 10th Cavalry) and their contributions to American history by:


1. Providing community service, including but not limited to, volunteering community agencies as soup kitchen staff, donating canned goods, supplies and clothing to mentally/physically challenged adults and school children and participating in school and community programs.


2.  Provide educational opportunities through scholarships and other aid to deserving urban community high school seniors and college students, who have demonstrated their academic talents through a competitive essay contest, teacher recommendations or proven financial need.


3. Provide financial assistance to local and national tax-exempt charities pursuant to IRS Sec. 501(c)(3), whose mission is harmonious with the BSMCO.


4. To ensure that all programs offered by the BSMCO are managed in accordance with this Organization’s policies, guidelines and standards.


The BSMCO shall not, as a corporate entity, attempt to influence legislation or participate in political campaigns for public office.


No substantial part of the activities of the BSMCO shall be the carrying on of the propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the BSMCO shall not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distribution of statements) any political campaign on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office;


Notwithstanding provision of this document, the BSMCO shall not carry on activities not permitted to be carried on (a) by an organization exempt from federal taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future tax code, or (b) by an organization contributions to which are deductible under section 170(c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future tax code;


The BSMCO shall not have or issue stock or shares, and no part of the assets, income or net earnings of the BSMCO shall inure to the benefit of; or be distributed to, its members, trustees, officers or any other private persons, except that the BSMCO shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered to make payments and distributions in conformity with the purposes set forth in Article 1, Section 2 of these by-laws;
